Can you help with pet odor?
We do offer a basic pet treatment which is an enzyme oxidation treatment that takes care of moderate pet odor, pet dander, and maybe an accident here or there. We specialize in pet odor/stain removal and always do our best to resolve any issues the first time. For more extreme odors, we will typically recommend Xcide. Xcide is an odor modifier that changes odor molecules on contact so it doesn’t have odor. This would be beneficial for carpets that have had multiple accidents on them and/or areas where an animal has gone in the same area several times (especially cat spray or urine). This is also good for homes that have a heavy pet dander smell, or other odor such as smoke.
How do you clean air ducts?
We use a system called RamAir, there is a video on our website you can take a look at that shows you how it works. Mike, the owner, did a lot of research on different systems, and he likes this one the best because he feels that it cleaned the ducts the best & eliminated potential damage to the ducts as well as not bringing debris from air ducts into your home. We utilize the RamAir equipment that works off our truck mounted machine. We go to each individual vent with our hoses and a clear cover that goes over the vent. Then, we insert an air compressor hose that goes deep into the duct, about 20-40 feet, to blast any debris towards the register as we draw it back out. There’s also a vacuum hose attached to the vent cover that will bring any debris that comes out into our truck-mounted machine. In addition, for floor vents, we go into the vent with a high powered vacuum and remove any heavier or larger debris that we were unable to remove with the air compressor hose, then we power vacuum the register & secure it back in place.
How do you clean carpets?
Some companies only do a 1-step process, and just introduce soap with their wand & extract it out in one stroke. But we do a 3-step process: We pre-spray all the carpets which allows the cleaning agent to emulsify and suspend the dirt. Then we do hot water extraction with water that gets to be about 220 degrees or more, to the best of our ability, we rinse that product out so as not to leave a sticky residue. After that, we treat any spots or stains that didn’t come out, rinse again, and lastly we go over everything with a dry stroke to extract as much moisture as possible allowing the carpets to dry quicker and also helps prevent wicking. Doing all these steps takes longer, but we believe it’s worth it because we get much better results!
How often should I clean my carpets?
Most carpet manufacturers will recommend a professional carpet cleaning every 12-18 months. It can vary depending on use. For example, homes with a lot of traffic and pets may need more frequent cleanings than a home with lighter traffic and no pets.
