Carpet Cleaning FAQs

Can you clean apartments, condos, and townhomes?

Yes. We regularly clean apartments, condos, and townhomes throughout Portland and surrounding areas. We just need convenient parking close to the entrance and access to a working water source* nearby.

Do you apply carpet protector?

Yes, we can! When a client opts in, we use Scotchgard carpet protector to help repel spills and slow down dry soil buildup. It helps carpets stay cleaner longer and restores stain resistance after cleaning.

Are your cleaning products safe?

Our cleaning products are non-toxic, pet-safe, and family-friendly. We do have stronger specialty products for things like grease, ink, paint, or heavy spot removal, but the technician would review any treatments with you prior to applying. 

How do you clean carpets?

Our Portland carpet cleaning process uses truck-mounted hot water extraction:

• Pre-treatment to loosen soil
• Hot water extraction with powerful suction
• Spot treatment for remaining stains
• Final dry strokes to remove as much moisture as possible. 

Carpet Repair & Carpet Stretching FAQ

Why does my carpet have ripples or bubbles?

Ripples usually mean the carpet has loosened over time. This can happen from age, traffic, humidity, or previous cleaning making existing looseness more noticeable.

Can carpet stretching remove wrinkles?

Yes. In many cases stretching removes ripples and helps carpets lay flat again.

Is carpet stretching worth it?

We say yes! Oftentimes, your carpet still has life left. Stretching can improve appearance and help prevent tripping hazards.

Can you repair pet damage?

Yes. We can often repair carpet damaged by pets, including torn carpet around doors or transitions.

Can you patch carpet?

Yes. If matching carpet is available from a closet or leftover material, patching can work very well.

Can carpet seams be repaired?

Often yes. Loose or damaged seams can usually be repaired depending on condition.

Air Duct Cleaning FAQ

How often should air ducts be cleaned?

A common recommendation is every 3–5 years.

How do you clean air ducts?

We use our RamAir system with truck-mounted suction. Each vent is cleaned individually and debris is pulled back out to the truck.

Will air duct cleaning reduce dust?

It often helps improve dust buildup and airflow.

Dryer Vent Cleaning FAQ

How often should dryer vents be cleaned?

Usually once a year.

Why is dryer vent cleaning important?

Lint buildup can reduce efficiency and increase fire risk.

Can you clean roof-exit dryer vents?

Yes, as long as we can clean effectively from the inside.

What makes dryer vent cleaning more difficult?

Long vent runs, clogs, hard-to-move dryers, or roof venting can add time.

Area Rug Cleaning FAQ

Can you clean wool rugs?

Yes. Wool rugs need gentler cleaning and we adjust accordingly.

Can you remove pet odor from rugs?

Often yes. Light to moderate odor usually improves very well.

Should my rug be cleaned at home or in the shop?

Specialty rugs usually do best in our shop, but we have cleaned all kinds of rugs in our client’s homes as well. 

How long do rugs take to dry?

Usually 24 hours.

Can you pick up and deliver rugs?

Yes. Pickup and delivery is available. We schedule based around when our technician is in the area. 

Do you clean rug fringe?

Yes—we can clean fringe when appropriate.

Can you clean delicate rugs like viscose?

Sometimes, but viscose can be very sensitive and results can vary.

What upholstery do you clean?

We clean sofas, sectionals, chairs, ottomans, dining chairs, mattresses, and more.

Are your upholstery cleaners safe?

Yes—our standard upholstery cleaning products are pet and family friendly.

Can you remove pet odor from furniture?

Often yes, depending on how deep the odor has gone into cushions or padding.

Can you clean sectionals?

Yes. Sectionals are one of the most common upholstery jobs we do.

Can professional cleaning make grout look lighter?

Very often yes. Many grout lines brighten up dramatically.

Do you seal grout?

Yes—grout sealing is available.

How long before I can walk on tile?

Usually right away with some care.

Can you clean natural stone?

Yes, and sealing is available when recommended.

Can you remove hard water buildup?
